![]() Cheapest Plane Tickets: Can You Find Them? It's
getting harder and harder to find the cheapest
plane tickets. My husband and I love to travel. We love to scuba and
snorkel and ski. We usually spend most of the winter in the North East and in
Colorado and every summer we spend a few weeks in the Caribbean. We, like many
other Americans are shaking our heads at the airline industry. Every day it seems
that the major airlines, American, Delta, United, Continental and US Airways are
cutting services and flights and raising fees and fares. My
mother-in-law and I are traveling to England for three weeks this September. Luckily
we bought the cheapest
plane tickets we could find in April, because just two months later
with the price of gasoline the cost is now over $200 more for each of us.My husband
and I have always flown American down to the Caribbean. We usually fly into San
Juan and then onto the island of Anguilla. Last year for the first time we took
a US Airways flight from Baltimore-Washington International Airport to the island
of St. Martin. Unfortunately
it's getting harder and harder to know where to look for the cheapest
plane tickets. Airlines aren't offering as many deals as they used
to and a limited number of planes means that seats are filling up which also limits
deals on fares. It
doesn't matter which carrier you fly, Delta, United Airlines, US Air, Continental
or Northwest, every one of them is dealing with the same problem, the cost of
fuel. Until someone in the government steps in to stop the speculation that's
raising the oil prices we're all going to have to dig deeper into our pockets
if we want to enjoy a vacation. Cheapest
